For candidates who have not received prior close protection training. The Level 3 SIA Close Protection Training course provides learning and qualifications for prospective CPOs through a combination of practical and classroom-based exercises. This intensive course takes 12 days to complete and is delivered by our team of instructors all of whom have backgrounds in Special Forces and Elite Police units.

The SIA Fast Track Level 3 Certificate is designed for those with prior formal close protection training under their belt. As such, this particular course is ideal for those with specific backgrounds such as the Royal Military Police, Metropolitan Police Royal Protection and Special Air Service Regiment. Upon completion of your close protection course, it is imperative that you maintain your SIA license every three years.

The Combined Close Protection and First Person on Scene course combines the SIA Level 3 Close Protection Course with the First Person on Scene Intermediate qualification. As a CPO, you might be required to provide bodyguard services at a client’s residence, and this could be either in the UK or abroad.
