The Advanced Offshore First Aid course is designed to provide the Offshore First Aider with the ability to assist the Offshore Medic in advanced techniques.
Our course teaches the essential skills that an AED operator needs and gives students the confidence to know what to do in an emergency. A cardiac arrest can happen to anyone, anywhere, at any time. A person’s chance of survival falls by about 10% for each minute that passes without defibrillation. The risk of death can be reduced if you have a defibrillator in your workplace and know how to use it. If the risk assessment identifies a lower level of possible hazards then we also recommend our Emergency First Aid at Work Course alternatively if the risk is higher then we recommend our First Aid at Work (FAW) course.
This course is suitable for people aged 16 years and older who work in a low hazard environment such as offices or shops. It is also suitable for organisations that have identified that a suitably trained person in first aid is required. If the risk assessment identifies a higher level of possible hazards then we recommend our First Aid at Work Course.
