Chronic Medical Conditions
As well as tackling emergency situations, you will also learn throughout the duration of our early year’s first aid course techniques in dealing with chronic medical conditions. At Orchid Risk, we will show you how to provide the correct early year first aid treatment for children suffering from illnesses such as sickle cell crisis, diabetes, meningitis, etc.
Course Structure
The early year’s first aid courses provided by Orchid Risk combine practical exercises with theoretical studies and is entirely classroom based. Typically, students are required to be able to physically replicate the techniques that we teach to demonstrate a competent grasp of the material. For instance, each student must maintain Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation while knelt down for at least two minutes.
Throughout each of the exercises, you will be carefully assessed by one of our skilled early year first aid tutors. There will also be a written assessment and those who are successful in both areas will be awarded the ‘First Aid Awards Level 3 in Paediatric Emergency First Aid’ for a period of three years.
Our early year’s first aid training course for 2016 is priced at £149 (excluding VAT). If you’d like to find out more or have any questions, do not hesitate to get in touch with a member of our team now.
